LOA on Day 146

It finally happened!
After 146 days
Our LOA came!!!!!!

This document from China,
which is more correctly called
"Letter of Seeking Confirmation"
asks for our signature
on a statement
that after all this time and effort
we do indeed
still want to adopt
Our Sweet Delilah.

The LOA has been
signed, sealed,
and delivered

It should be winging it's way
back to China

And now,
again we wait,
one last time,
for TA,
which means Travel Approval.

So I still can't say
when we will travel.
But what I can say,
is that in the eyes of China,
Delilah belongs to us,
officially and forever more.
BoldAnd we remain
honored and thankful
for the trust
extended to us.

  1. Congratulaions!!! Hopefully TA comes quickly and you can get to your sweet daughter.

  2. Congratulations!! Better start packing because it won't be long now!

  3. Yipiee! I have checked your blog nearly everyday for the past 146 days and it finally happened! I am so happy for you! :) Good Luck and soon you will be off to get Delilah! I think the story abou the sweater is just amazing! Just shows you always have to keep faith! :)

    norie and cecelia

  6. Oh, happy DAY!!
I never told you that we waited over 180 days for our LOA. I know how good it feels to finally see your LOA when everyone else with the same times for paperwork, have been to China and back.
I pray the TA is soon!

  7. Her first name is "楠(Nan)" - its a kind of tree in China and I guess its similar to maple in north america.

    The pronunciation "楠(Nan)" :

"楠(Nan)" in english is "Phoebe zhennan" or "Phoebe zhennan S. Lee et F. N. Wei"

  8. Yippeee! You live in NC too?? I saw that you bought a shirt in NC sent it to FL and then it went to china!!
    Many blessings,
    Holly- an IM Mommy!!

  9. Sherri, Congratulations on LOA, and on your new daughter!!! She is absolutely beautiful!!! I am so happy for you.
We will also be headed back to China, hopefully in October or November to get our youngest daughter Olivia. She is 5 1/2 months younger than Leilah Di! We too, will have 2 toddlers! lol What were we thinking!!
Good luck, and I can't wait to see your Gotcha Day pics!! Woohoo!
